Believe me, I am really grateful to be 78 and still alive after being in remission from cancer for 13 years, but it’s so hard to believe I am 78 years old when I really feel like I’m still in my 30’s in my head and heart. How could I still be so vain (I’m really not proud about this), and still care about what other people think about me. But let me tell you the most challenging thing I am going through right now. I am going through empty nest emotions with my one and only grandson going off to college in another country. This young man has filled my life and heart for 19 years. We are beyond close and I adore him. I realize that so much of these past 19 years has been filled with the most amazing adventures in life and countless memories that we both talk about all the time. So what does this mean for me? A new chapter in my life. Once again I will have to re-invent or create what I want to be when I grow up. Let me explain. I started working when my first marriage dissolved when I was in my early 30’s. I was lucky enough to get my start in television production when a friend got me an interview for a remake of a game show that would be starting. That started me on a 20 year journey of working on game and reality shows. On my second show I met my 2nd husband and after 20 years in the business we moved locations and I needed to figure out what I could do for work. At that point I used whatever skills I had acquired and decided to become a personal assistant for high powered individuals. I did this for many years up until a couple of years ago. Let me say this, retirement is a wonderful thing for many people but not for me. So here I am today, after last night before bed I asked the Universe to show me what I should be doing, and this morning I started this blog. I will be writing daily about what is on my mind and my friends as well and maybe some of it will help you, or not, or make you laugh, or at least give you something you can relate to.
